Karen O'Brien

Karen O'Brien is an expert on the human and social dimensions of global environmental change. Her research focuses on themes related to climate change impacts, vulnerability, and adaptation. She is interested in how transdisciplinary and integral approaches to global change research can contribute to a better understanding of how societies both create and respond to change, and particularly the role of beliefs, values and worldview in transformations to sustainability. 

Vaughn Sadie

Vaughn Sadie is an artist and researcher based in Cape Town. His work focuses on the role of public infrastructure in shaping our perception of urban spaces. Sadie’s practice is rooted in interdisciplinary and collaborative methods, engaging with choreographers, theatre-makers, and communities to explore alternative ways of interacting and meaning-making with the built environment. 

Ntando Cele

Ntando Cele is a director and theatre-maker from South Africa, currently based in Bern. She has created and performed highly political shows and as part of Manaka Empowerment Prod. has staged numerous political-musical comedies since 2012. Her plays have toured worldwide including Face-Off 2013 in Holland, South Africa, and Switzerland, Black Off at Schaubühne Berlin, MITsp in São Paulo, Beursschouwburg in Brussels, Bühnen Graz, and others.

Senka Neuman-Stanivuković

Senka Neuman-Stanivuković is an associate professor in global international relations at the University of Groningen, studying links between Europeanization and production of marginality and peripherality in the contexts of citizenship and migration, labour, infrastructures and territoriality. 

Mart Koldits

Mart Koldits is a theatre director and Head of the Department of Theatre at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Mart has an impressive track record as both an actor and director at Tallinn City Theatre and Von Krahl Theatre.
